The development of interdisciplinary treatment teams poses several ethical considerations that must be addressed. Significant challenges to service delivery and treatment fidelity may occur when melding several disciplines, their training, and their theoretical perspectives. This chapter examines ethical considerations in the development and implementation of interdisciplinary teams helping individuals with autism spectrum disorders. Following this examination, several proactive and reactive strategies are offered to improve the likelihood of successful interdisciplinary collaboration and cooperation. |
