This paper describes a small-scale study that looked at the wider effect 0f ten weekly sessions of LEGO® therapy on the social interaction skills of eight, primary-aged children on the autism spectrum. Their behaviour was observed in the playground for a period before the sessions began, then immediately after the ten weeks of LEGO® therapy and then again ten weeks after the therapy stopped. Findings show that there was more social interaction between the children after the sessions and that this effect was maintained when the therapy stopped. |
