Résumé : |
The provision of systemic therapy in the context of autistic has been somewhat limited. Some attempts have been made to develop models for families focusing on children with the diagnosis but there has been very little attention paid to the needs of adults with a diagnosis of autism and their needs in the context of their relationships and families. This chapter adopts a broadly systemic view embracing both the challenges and opportunities that autistic presents and more broadly considers the needs of others who are in relationships with them. The chapter looks at how systemic therapeutic approaches and techniques can be adapted and applied in the context of autism. Two approaches based on an integration of systemic and attachment theory are outlined alongside their clinical illustrations. |
