This journal is devoted to all severe psychopathologies in childhood and is not necessarily limited to autism and childhood schizophrenia. The following topics fall within its scope: experimental studies on the biochemical, neurological, and genetic aspects of the disorders; the implications of normal development for deviant processes; interaction between disordered behavior of individuals and social or group factors; research and case studies involving the entire spectrum of interventions, including behavioral, biological, educational, and community aspects; and diagnosis and classification of disorders reflecting new knowledge.
Topics are explored in several forms: experimental studies of original research; theoretical papers based on scholarly review of relevant topics; critical reviews of important research or treatment activity; and case studies in which new insights for the individual are demonstrated and implications for other children or research are discussed |
