Psychanalyste et linguiste, Laurent Danon-Boileau propose une approche de l’autisme appuyée sur une longue pratique ; elle prend en compte à la fois ce qui relève de difficultés de langage et ce qui est lié à des troubles plus profonds. Comment en effet redonner à l’enfant le sens de l’échange s’il ne peut trouver plaisir à s’exprimer et s’il ne peut maîtriser l’outil qu’est la parole ? Pour autant, une simple « rééducation » ne peut suffire : c’est le désir et le goût de communiquer auxquels il doit pouvoir accéder. Le travail psychanalytique conserve donc tout son sens, à condition toutefois d’être associé à celui de multiples autres intervenants.
Et si on cessait les luttes de clans pour se concentrer vraiment sur les enfants et sur la pratique ? Tel est le message de cet ouvrage tout sauf doctrinaire.
Laurent Danon-Boileau est thérapeute au centre Alfred-Binet, professeur de linguistique à l’université Paris-V et chercheur au Laboratoire d’études sur l’acquisition et la pathologie du langage de l’enfant (CNRS).
