In an excellent research review article in JCPP, Tansey et al. provide a comprehensive overview of what the field of developmental psychopathology has learned about the endocannabinoid system. The purpose of this Editorial is to build upon the discussion around the current state of evidence for medicinal cannabis for psychiatric disorders, using Tourette syndrome and chronic tic disorders as an illustrative example.
