This paper discusses the implementation of transforming care (TC) for people with autism, shows that TC failed to recognise the different needs of people with mental illness, and concludes that TC is affective with intellectually disabled people.

3. Debbie S, Sarah HB. Enhancing self-esteem in adults with autism spectrum disorders : a pilot cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) group intervention. Advances in Autism ;2017 (2017/04/03) ;3(2):66-75.

This paper suggests that psychosocial risk factors likely render adults with autism spectrum disorders vulnerable to develop low self-esteem, and cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) group intervention is effective for reducing mental health characteristics and for improving general functioning.

This paper shows that children with autism spectrum disorder are able to differentiate faces out of learned non-face stimuli and their skin conductance response patterns are similar as typically developed children.

This paper shows that despite differing perceptions and views on the purpose or end product of secondary educations for their child with autism, parents communicate a desire for their child to make progress within the secondary school system.

This paper explores the role of fathers in the management of sleeping problems in children with autism, and reveals that their children experience severe sleeping problems in the areas of bed-time resistance, sleep onset and night-time waking.
